Virtual Terminal
The TotalPay powered by Authorize.Net™
Virtual Terminal enables businesses with a TotalPay account to
authorize, process, and manage credit card transactions from
any computer with an Internet connection and a Web browser.
This Virtual Terminal replaces standard authorization
terminals or software and provides the best solution for
merchants who manually enter credit card transactions for mail
or phone order sales.
The TotalPay Virtual Terminal is the ideal
solution for businesses of all sizes because it removes the
complexity and expense normally associated with authorizing
and processing credit card transactions, and it's much faster
than standard dial-up authorization systems.
Businesses with a TotalPay account simply
access the TotalPay Virtual Terminal through our Web site
using any industry standard Web browser. After logging on to
the system using a unique user ID and password, merchants can
access the complete range of TotalPay services. This includes
authorizations for purchases, credits and returns, status and
activity reports, and much more.
To authorize credit card transactions, the
merchant simply completes an electronic form that provides the
TotalPay system with the information it needs to complete the
transaction. This information is encrypted using the latest 40
or 128 bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) 3.0 technology and sent
to a TotalPay host server. The server then sends the data
through the authorization network to the appropriate card
issuer's bank over a secure, proprietary connection. When the
process is complete -- this takes around five seconds -- the
merchant receives an authorization number, and the TotalPay
server stores the transaction. Transactions are automatically
settled each day and funded within 2-3 days.
Merchants can also check the status of
transactions, automatically bill customers for recurring
charges, or run a variety of reports right from the TotalPay
Virtual Terminal.
It's no surprise that TotalPay powered by
Authorize.Net is the world's leading Internet-based payment
authorization and transaction processing solution. Thousands
of companies are currently using TotalPay to authorize,
capture, and manage their credit card
transactions. |

WebLink
TotalPay powered by Authorize.Net™
WebLink allows Internet-based businesses to authorize,
process, and manage credit card transactions without worrying
about all the complicated software, hardware, and expertise
normally associated with processing payments over the
Web.
When online customers are ready to purchase
products or services from a merchant's Web site, WebLink
either captures the necessary information (name, credit card
number, etc.) from the site's own secure transaction page or
displays a standard WebLink transaction page, hosted on a
TotalPay server, for the customer to fill out.
This information is encrypted using 40 or 128
bitSecure Socket Layer technology and sent to a TotalPay
transaction server. The server then sends the data through the
authorization network to the appropriate card issuer's bank
over a secure, proprietary connection. When the authorization
process is complete -- this takes around five seconds -- the
customer receives an approval or decline response, and the
TotalPay server stores the transaction. Transactions are
automatically settled each day and funded within 2-3
days.
Linking a merchant's Web site to the TotalPay
system is simple. The merchant's Web site designer or
developer simply inserts a few lines of HTML code that we
provide to establish the link. TotalPay supports most
available shopping cart software, so it integrates easily with
most e-commerce solutions. Below is
an example of the basic code needed to link to
WebLink:

<form action = "https://secure.authorize.net/gateway/transact.dll"> <input
type = "hidden" name = "x_login" value = "MyLoginID"> <input type = "hidden" name = "x_version" value = "3.0"> <input type = "hidden" name = "x_show_form" value = "payment_form"> <input type = "hidden" name = "x_amount" value = "1.00"> <input type = "submit" value = "Click Here
to
Continue"> </form>
Merchants can also check the status of transactions
or run reports on past activity by going to the TotalPay Web site
and logging on to their own password-protected TotalPay site. Online
businesses can also use the TotalPay Virtual Terminal to enter
payment information manually if customers prefer to call in with
their credit card information.
eCheck.Net™
eCheck.Net™ is an TotalPay powered by Authorize.Net™
corporation payment service that allows online and traditional
merchants to accept and process electronic check payments - either
directly from their Web site's storefront or through the TotalPay
Virtual Terminal. eCheck.Net makes it easy for online businesses to
add an electronic check payment option to their Web site.
Customers who wish to pay for a purchase with an
electronic check can simply select the electronic check option and
enter the requested bank account information. eCheck.Net encrypts
the data using the same SSL 3.0 encryption technology as TotalPay
and transmits it to the secure server for posting. Transactions are
automatically settled each day. TotalPay initiates a debit to the
consumer's checking account via the Automated Clearing House (ACH)
and subsequently transfers collected funds to the Merchant's
account. The eCheck.Net system notifies merchants of failed debit
attempts, including Not Sufficient Funds returns.
Traditional merchants without commerce-enabled Web
sites can also use eCheck.Net to handle periodic billings. Health
clubs, tanning salons, subscription services, ISPs, membership
companies, and health care practitioners are typical examples of
businesses that need to periodically deduct funds from their
customers' checking accounts. Of course, written customer
authorization is always required, and merchants must apply and be
approved for the eCheck.Net service prior to performing these types
of transactions.
- eCheck.Net enables merchants to obtain payment
from their Customer via direct debit to their bank account.
- eCheck.Net transactions are not processed in
real-time and do involve additional risk to the merchant.
- eCheck.Net transactions "clear" and are paid to
the merchant in approximately seven calendar days.
- eCheck.Net transactions will appear on a
merchant’s customer’s bank statement as "ECHECK TRANSACTION
XXXXXXXXXX," where the Xs represent a 10- character abbreviation
of the merchant’s business name.
- eCheck.Net transactions are not guaranteed and
can be revoked by the customer without the protections present
with card transactions.
- All eCheck.Net transactions must be authorized by
the customer in writing and physically signed, just like with a
paper check.
- TotalPay is the acquirer of eCheck.Net
transactions and sets all processing volumes and levels for a
merchant.
